SEEK ME AND FIND ME
Jeremiah 29:13, You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. Also read Colossians 3:17, And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.
If you just use my words in Bible studies and don’t work them into your life, you are like a stupid carpenter who built his house on the sandy beach, when a storm rolled in and the waves came up, it collapsed like a house of cards. See Matthew 7:24–27, Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the stream rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand, The rain came down, the stream rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.
Brothers and sisters get your mind and heart put right, then you can see God in the outside world. Read Hebrews 12:14, Make every effort to live in peace with all men and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord.
You need true happiness, find out the way in Matthew 5:1–12, Now when He saw the crowds, He went up on a mountainside and sat down. His disciples came to Him, and he began to teach them, saying: Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted. Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled. Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy. Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God. Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God. Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.
And from verses 13–16, It says, You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled by men. You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven. These mean, SALT AND LIGHT have one thing in common, both of them penetrate the area around them and make difference.
- Light penetrates and overcomes darkness.
- Salt penetrates and overcomes rotting or corruption.
As the light of the world, we ought to be attacking corruption not just to go to church and pray and you say you received, that blessing won’t be real, or be useful to people.
As the salt of the earth, we are to be working against all forms of corruption and the spiritual darkness and as the light used to attack darkness. Neither salt nor light would be of any value if they did not penetrate the area around them and change it. So, you and the church in particular need to be like salt and light. See Matthew 13:23, But the one who received the seed that fell on good soil is the man who hears the word and understands it. He produces a crop, yielding a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown. So understand the act of knowing and doing.
May you receive the true blessing from God.
