YOUR SPIRIT IS ALIVE IF CHRIST IS IN YOU.
One day John the baptizer was with two of his disciples, and he looked at Jesus as he walked by and said,
“Behold, the Lamb of God!” The two disciples heard him say this, and they followed Jesus. Since these two were followers of John, they knew John’s great respect for the coming King, (Jesus) Matthew 3:11, “I baptize you with water for repentance. But after me will come one who is more powerful than I, whose sandals I am not fit to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire.” When they spoke to Jesus, He invited them to come to Him. He said, « Come and you will see.” John 1:34–39 “I have seen and testify that this is the Son of God » The next day John was there again with two of his disciples. When he saw Jesus passing by, he said, « Look, the Lamb of God!” When the two disciples heard him say this, they followed Jesus. Turning around, Jesus saw them following and asked, “What do you want?” They said, “Rabbi” (which means Teacher) “Where are you staying?” “Come,” He replied, “and you will see.” So they went and saw where He was staying and spent that day with Him. It was about the tenth hour.” Today when people is looking for Christ or Churches, if the same question should be asked, what do you want? Can we have the same reply today? The two disciples of John were looking for Christ to understand what John had spoken about Jesus Christ. Those who come to Christ today are looking for prosperity, food and healing. He welcomes them into the family of God and they received rebirth. The day of your rebirth is the most important day of your life, more important than even your birthday. Remember the words of Jesus, “Flesh gives birth to flesh, but spirit gives birth to spirit. John 3:6” Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the spirit gives birth to spirit.”
The first birth is a wonderful event, a living gift for an earthly family. But fleshly life must eventually end in death. Now, through the second birth. John 3:3–8, “In reply Jesus declared, “I tell you the truth, no one can see the Kingdom of God unless he is born again. “How can a man be born when he is old?” Nicodemus asked, “Surely he cannot enter a second time into his mother’s womb to be born!” Jesus answered, “I tell you the truth no one can enter the Kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit. Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to Spirit. You should not be surprised at my saying, “You must be born again.” The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.” The Spirit gives you spiritual life. You enter God’s family that lives forever.
The greatest blessing is Jesus himself. When you come into Christ, He comes into you. Revelation 3:20, “Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me.”
Your body becomes the temple (Church) of His Spirit. 1st Corinthians 6:19–20, “Do you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own, you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body.”
Knowing about this rebirth goal goes beyond learning to being. Yes, the facts are truly important and astounding! But knowing the facts is not enough. True believers, live what they learn. When Jesus shows His disciples an example of humble service He says “Now that you know these things, you will be blessed if you do them. John 13:17, “Now that you know these things, you will be blessed if you do them.”
Jesus wants knowledge to become deeds. Matthew 7:21–24 “Not everyone who says to me, “Lord, Lord, » will enter the Kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, “Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles? Then I will tell them plainly, “I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!” Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock.”
