As you know Salvation is the free gift of God and that you have freedom to accept or not. Jonah 2:9, But I, with a song of thanksgiving, will sacrifice to you. What I have vowed I will make good. Salvation comes from the Lord. See Acts of Apostles 4:12, Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved. Also read John 3:16-18, For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him. Whoever believes in Him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.
Many other values in life are intangible, that is, they are not material. Examples: include freedom, (that is you have freedom to reject salvation provided through Jesus Christ) beauty, love, respect and morality is required by the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Everyone has both tangible and intangible values. Some people, however, may be interested mostly in their lives now and after death. Examples include a world at peace, equality, brotherhood, mostly ETERNAL SALVATION, mature love, inner harmony and a comfortable life in Christ. See Luke 18:9–14, to some who were confident of their own righteousness and looked down on everybody else, Jesus told this parable: Two men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. The Pharisee stood up and prayed about himself: God, I thank you that I am not like other men–robbers, evil-doers, adulterers–or even like this tax collector. I fast twice a week and give a tenth of all I get. But the tax collector stood at a distance. He would not even look up to heaven, but beat his breast and said, God, have mercy on me, a sinner. I tell you that this man, rather than the other, went home justified before God. For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.
2nd Timothy 1:9, Who has saved us and called us to a holy life–not because of anything we have done but because of His own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time. Also read Titus 3:4–5, But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, He saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of His mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit. We need grace because our "works" simply don’t work. A lifetime of good deeds has no power to erase a single sin from our past record.
"There is no one righteous, not even one" Romans 3:10–12, As it is written: There is no righteous, not even one; there is no one who understands, no one who seeks God. All have turned away, they have together become worthless; there is no one who does good, not even one. We are too polluted by sin for our works to earn us any merit with God. If we depend on what we earn then we must die. For the wages of sin is death. Read Romans 6:23, For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. See also Galatians 3:10–14, All who rely on observing the law are under curse, for it is written: Cursed is everyone who does not continue to do everything written in the Book of the Law. Clearly no one is justified before God by the law, because, The righteous will live by faith. The law is not based on faith, on the contrary, The man who does these things will live by them. Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written: Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree. He redeemed us in order that the blessing given to Abraham might come to the Gentiles through Christ Jesus, so that by faith we might receive the promise of the Spirit.
A human may feel good about himself, but that says nothing about how God feels. God sees the reality. Example, Saul is "the worst of sinners," We can think God should destroy Saul, especially when Saul destroys God’s family.See Acts of Apostles 8:3, But Saul began to destroy the church. Going from house to house, he dragged off men and women and put them in prison. Also read Acts of Aposles 9:1, Meanwhile, Saul was still breathing out murderous treats against the Lord’s disciples. He went to the high priest. God proves Himself to be most merciful. See also 1st Timothy 1:13–16, Even though I was once a blasphemer and a persecutor and a violent man, I was shown mercy because I acted in ignorance and unbelief. The grace of our Lord was poured out on me abundantly, along with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus. Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance. Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners–of whom I am the worst. But for that very reason I was shown mercy so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display His unlimited patience as an example for those who would believe on Him and receive eternal life. Let us pray. See Matthew 6:9–13, This, then, is how you should pray: Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. Amen.
