LOVE BUILDS UP OUR RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD.
Ephesians Chapter 4 and Colossians 3 states the purpose of our renewal as being like God and to be renewed in His image. In the first creation, He used words to build from the dust. Now He uses knowledge to mold and shape the inner person of the heart. Ephesians 3 : 16, » I pray that out of His glorious riches He may strengthen you with power through His Spirit in your inner being.” 1 Peter3:4, “Instead, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight.”
We should not think of the inspired message as just words. Nor should we mistakenly treat knowledge as just facts. The words are essential and the facts are real. But they are not for the mind alone.
Truth should reach our hearts and thoroughly transform us. We know that the knowledgeable people sometimes used the facts selfishly. Instead, they should have thought about how helping others about « love builds up » and how to love God, not always how to receive from God or people. They ought to have known the true knowledge emphasizes relationships, first with God then with others. 1st Timothy 1:5–8, “The goal of this command is love, which comes from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith. Some have wandered away from these and turned to meaningless talk. They want to be teachers of the law, but they do not know what they are talking about or what they so confidently affirm. We know that the law is good if one uses it properly.” Matthew 22: 37–39, “Jesus replied: “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with your entire mind” This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: “Love your neighbor as yourself. » 1st John 4:8, “Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. » Colossians 2:2–3, “My purpose is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.”
The spirit revealed facts lead us to “ know Christ” to grow in a real relationship with Him.(God or Christ) As we trust and follow Christ, the most amazing change takes place and we become the picture of Christ not always about our wants and transformed into His likeness with ever- increasing glory. 2nd Corinthians 3 : 18, « And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into His likeness with ever- increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit” John 14 : 23 – 24, “Jesus replied,” If anyone loves me, he will obey my teaching. My Father will love him, and we will come to Him and make our home with Him. He who does not love me will not obey my teaching. These words you hear are not my own; they belong to the Father who sent me.” John 13: 34, “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another »
Becoming like Christ is what the Christian life is all about. The true Christians resemble their Father in heaven, for they become imitators of His great love and live a life of love among people. Ephesians 3 : 16 – 17, “I pray that out of His glorious riches He may strengthen you with power through His Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love.”
With the love of God, we will all have a wonderful and prosperous happy new year 2018.
