The interpretation of the faith varies, but to the people of Kingdom of God, the basic is TRINITY.
The word TRINITY means that there is one God who exists in three persons. The three persons of the Divine Being we call God. Only one person of the Trinity identified with Mankind in their sins. Jesus is the only one in the whole universe who has a divine nature and a human nature. In His baptism and His death, there is a close relationship to this because He identified with mankind in their sins.
God is one and exists in three persons, but we must remember that the persons are not three independent individuals, but rather three persons of the TRINITY of the Divine Being, we call God.
The three persons of the Trinity are not separate individuals, because God is one.
Matthew 28: 19 “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” 2nd Corinthians 13: 14. “May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.” 1st Peter 1: 2. “Who have been chosen according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through the sanctifying work of the Spirit, for obedience to Jesus Christ and sprinkling by his blood.”
We must note that the truth there is only one God. Deuteronomy: 6: 4- 5: “Hear, O Israel, The Lord our God, the Lord is One. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.”
The Apostles knew well what Deuteronomy 6: 4 said and Jews believed firmly that there is only one God. As they got to know Jesus better they began to realize that He was not only a man. He was a man but much more too. These ideas were clearly expressed when Thomas saw the risen Jesus. In John 20: 28, He said, »My Lord and my God « Of course they could not understand it (nor can we!) And they did not try to explain it in the New Testament. They simply affirmed what they had experienced. Obviously we, with our finite minds, will never be able to understand everything about our great God, who has no limits to His presence, power and wisdom. Still let’s try to grasp what we can about this great truth. Perhaps the best way to do so is to think of the three persons of the Trinity as laying claim to my life, but each for a different reason. For example Ephesians 4:6 “One God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all”
Acts of Apostles 17: 29 “Therefore since we are God’s offspring, we should not think that the divine being is like gold or silver or stone an image made by man’s design and skill.”
Genesis 1: 27. « So God created man in His own image, in the image of God he created him, male and female He created them.”
Now read 1st Corinthians 6: 19 – 20. »Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God ? You are not your own ; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body. “These verses explain that the believer does not belong to himself any longer, for he has been bought with a price.
1st Peter 1; 18 makes this clear when it says “You were redeemed with the precious blood of Christ » So we are no longer our own because we have been bought with the blood of God the Son.
So, each of the three persons of the Trinity lays claim to my life, but each for a different reason ;
God the Father because He made me.
God the Son, because he bought me with His blood.
God the Holy Spirit because He lives in me.
Each person of the Trinity can legitimately lay claim to our lives, for each has done so much for us. That is why Jesus said in His commission, in Matthew 28 : 19 ,that all the disciples of all nations should be baptized in the name of the FATHER and of the SON and of the HOLY SPIRIT. They have to be baptized in the « name » (not in the names) of the three persons of the TRINITY.
