FAITH MEANS RECEIVING FACTS AND ACCEPT.
To believe in Jesus is to accept the fact that He is Our Savior. He is Son of man (truly human) and Son of God (truly God) Faith is not blind guessing about what might be so. Jesus assures Nicodemus, “I tell you the truth, we speak of what we know, and we testify to what we have seen, but still you people do not accept our testimony.” (John 3:11) Nicodemus hears the “testimony” the true report of eyewitnesses. He sees solid evidence. By these he comes to believe
The parable of the tenants talks the responsibility of the Jewish leaders. The parable of the Wedding Feast, on the other hand, has to do with the invitation to the Gentiles (people like you and I) to enter the Kingdom of God. Acts 13: 46, “Then Paul and Barnabas answered them boldly, “We had to speak the word of God to you first. Since you reject it and do not consider yourselves worthy of eternal life, we now turn to the Gentiles”
Matthew 22: 11–13, “But when the King came in to see the guests, he noticed a man there who was not wearing wedding clothes. “Friends,” he asked, “how did you get in here without wedding clothes?” The man was speechless. Then the King told the attendants, “Tie him hand and foot, and throw him outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth” In Matthew 22:11–13, one of the men who came to the wedding feast was thrown out because the man lacked wedding clothes. It is interesting to compare this verse with the Revelation 19:8 “Fine linen, bright and clean, was given her to wear” ( Fine linen stands for the righteous acts of the saints) In that verse, the “fine linen” which the bride of the Lamb ( the Church) wears to the marriage feast is said to be the Righteous Acts of believers.
This helps us to understand the importance of the proper wedding clothes in this parable. The wedding cloths represent the Righteous life that believers ought to live. That is, they represent the Fruit that believers ought to bear. Whoever does not live this righteous life, although he may have heard the call of God, does not show himself or herself to be a true child of God.
For this reason, they will not be among the few who are chosen. Matthew 22:14, “For many are invited, but few are chosen.” Isaiah 5: 4, “What more could have been done for my vineyard than I have been done for it.” When I looked for good grapes, why did it yield only bad?”
Our God always provide everything so that we can carry out what He commands. In Christ, He has given us ALL that we need to be able to bear the fruit of a righteous life that will please Him. The condition which we must meet to bear good fruit in our lives is to remain in Him (that is in Jesus).
