WORTHY LIFE.
According to the Scripture, worthy life is the life of humility, unity and above all love.
Ephesians 4:1–3, As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. Be completely humble and gentle, be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the spirit through the bond of peace.”
Colossians, 3:12–14, “Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.”
Ephesians 5:1–2, point the way. What are the Christians like? They resemble their Father, for they become “imitators” of His great love. How should they live? Live a life of love” We should not guess at its meaning. We should let God’s words fully explain to us this new life of love.
See Ephesians 3:16–19, to have an idea of who lives in the Christian. “I pray that out of His glorious riches He may strengthen you with power through His Spirit in your inner being so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to group how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge – that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.”
Since Christ is in you, expect Him to change you. Through Christ, God turns the children of sin into His own sons, united in one family. If any one of you thinks he is wise by the standards of this age, he should become a “fool” so that he may become wise. For the wisdom of this world is foolishness in God’s sight. As it is written: “He catches the wise in their craftiness.” 1st Corinthians 13:2, “If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.”
1st Corinthians 8:1–3, “Now about food sacrificed for idols. We know that we all possess knowledge, knowledge puff up, but love builds up. The man who thinks he knows something does not yet know as he ought to know. But the man who loves God is known by God. »
1st Corinthians 13 2, “If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.”
In the past God spoke to our forefathers through the prophets at many times and in various ways, but in these last days, He has spoken to us by His Son Jesus Christ. Hebrews 1:1–2, « In the past, God spoke to our forefathers through the prophets at many times and in various ways, but in these last days He has spoken to us by His Son, whom He appointed heir of all things and through whom He made the universe.”
Matthew 5:1 –16, “You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot. You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to every one in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”
Jesus said that, Kingdom of Heaven is a Kingdom of happiness alone; they are also responsible for the happiness and well-being of their friends and neighbours.
Jesus used two symbols to us about our responsibility towards others.
THE SALT AND LIGHT: Jesus taught us that His followers have a responsibility to the world around them
.As light of the world, we ought to be attacking spiritual darkness. Such as written in: Galatians 5:19b –21. “Sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God”
Therefore as the salt of the world, we are to be working against all sorts of corruptions
