BE READY FOR THE SECOND COMING OF JESUS CHRIST
Read Matthew 24:36, No one knows about that day or hour, nor even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.
But Jesus Christ said that there would be certain signs to take place before the return of the Son of Man that, Sun will be darkened, Moon will not give its light, and stars will fall.
But, who knows the exact date or year of the coming of Jesus Christ. The Pastors, the angels, Jehovah’s Witnesses, Satan, You and I, The Mormons, The Universal Church or Good evangelists. All are NO except God the Father.
There are many today who are making predictions about the time of Jesus’ return as regards to vision or whatever. Those people are just making big of themselves. We must always remember that this is something which only God knows. See Deuteronomy 29:29, The secret things belong to the Lord our God, but the things revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may follow all the words of this law.
However, although, we do not know the exact time when Jesus will return, the Bible also teaches us that His return should be a surprise to all. Read Matthew 24:44, So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect Him.
Jesus Christ demands that as faithful servants we be ready and that we long for His coming.
Matthew 24:30 says, At that time the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and all the nations of the earth will mourn. They will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky, with power and great glory. See also 2nd Peter 3:12–13, As you look forward to the day of God and speed its coming. That day will bring about the destruction of the heavens by fire, and the elements will melt in the heat. But in keeping with His promise we are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth, the home of righteousness.
The third chapter of 2nd Peter is talking about the return of the Lord Jesus Christ and the events which will take place in the end times. The phrase “the day of God” which is used in verse 12 talks about the events of the end times as a whole, including the return of the Lord and all that follows. In these two verses, Peter mentions three of the events which will take place at the “day of God” The earth and the heavens that we know will be destroyed, a new heaven and a new earth will be created and perfect justice will rule in all of the new creation.
However, we also know that these things will be accomplished after the return of Jesus Christ. When the Lord returns, there will be the sound of a trumpet and God will send His angels to all parts of the earth to gather His believers. The dead will be raised first, and then the living believers will be caught up with them to meet the Lord in the air. We also know that the Day of God will be a time of judgment.
The Bible is completely clear about the visible and bodily return of the Lord Jesus Christ.
